Health Incentive
What is the health incentive?
It is a monthly share reduction of up to 20% for Medi-Share 2.0 members who meet certain health criteria. We are excited to reward those who understand the importance of maintaining a healthy temple by living a healthy lifestyle.
How do I know if I qualify?
To qualify for this incentive, a Medi-Share 2.0 member must meet specified health criteria, using the chart below, on an annual basis, including HbA1c level, BMI and waist measurement. There are exceptions for pregnancy, recent birth, and athletes. See the instruction sheet for all the details.
These tests must be conducted within 90 days of each other and members must obtain, at their expense, certified testing to document their results and annually thereafter to qualify.

How do I get started?

Next, decide how to conduct your HbA1c test. The information about ordering the kit or finding a lab is included in the packet.
- Home Test Kit: You can
order an HbA1c test kit directly from us.
This process normally takes a few weeks to request, receive and process
your results. We do not accept results
from pharmacy home test kits.
- Local Laboratory Test Direct access testing allows you to place an order for
lab work online or by phone in most states.
The cost is slightly more than a home test kit, but you can get the
results within a few business days.
The results must be received before the 7th of the month for the incentive to be applied to the
following month. If you qualify during
the application process, the Health Incentive will not be applied until after
your first month of sharing.

* Health Incentive applicants with ideal to normal BMI of under 25 may have an exception to the HbA1c criteria, allowing an HbA1c of up to 5.9.
**If you do not meet the BMI requirements
because you are an athlete with high muscle mass and low fat, different
standards may apply. You can submit one
of these forms with your application. These are only necessary if you are looking for a BMI exception. Army Fitness Form or Seven Site Skinfold Form
***Please note: You cannot qualify for the Health Incentive until you have begun Medi-Share membership so the incentive cannot be applied to your first month of sharing.
