ANNUAL REPORTS

Full FY22 Annual Report

In 2022, we were grateful to emerge out of a season of uncertainty that the pandemic created. In retrospect, we are in awe over how the Lord provided for this ministry and His people throughout the crisis.

We continued our quest to serve the members of Medi-Share with excellence. We looked closely at our operational areas over the last year to see where we could improve the experience for members and their providers. As a result, our service levels noticeably improved and stabilized over the year with the addition of staff and increased training.

I’m also pleased to report that even with the effects of rapidly rising inflation, we have been able to keep any adjustments to the monthly share amounts to a very small or no increase for the second year in a row.

For the last several years, we have also been exploring opportunities to improve and expand our program offerings to grow our community. Our Medi-Share 65+ product is going strong as more seniors take advantage of this affordable supplemental sharing option for those with Medicare. We also launched another new product, Medi-Share Value, which is a choice-based, self-pay alternative, with a lower out-of-pocket expense. As we move into 2023, this option will become more widely available.

I am particularly proud of the Christian Care Ministry employees who amidst change and challenge, remain fully committed to serving our Medi-Share community members.  We were happy to again receive the designation of a “Great Place to Work” for the third year in a row, and more recently, the “Best Christian Workplace” certification.

As a ministry of faith-filled believers, the highlight of 2022 was undeniably the Supreme Court ruling on the Dobbs case. It was a monumental decision for Christians and for the sanctity of life our community holds so dear.

Our ministry and the Medi-Share community have always promoted a culture of life. Our members have agreed to never, under any circumstance, share in the cost of abortion. We also encourage adoption and provide for bill sharing for some adoption-related expenses. To that point, we are currently exploring ways to further expand support for adoptions.

For us, these are non-negotiables that set our ministry apart from the world. It’s not lost on us that our country and the world of healthcare are moving increasingly away from God. We must stand strong on our Biblical principles, now more than ever.  That’s why it is so important for us to continue to offer a healthcare solution that aligns with our members’ values.

Our Government Affairs team, along with the Alliance of Health Care Sharing Ministries consistently advocates for our right to participate in health care sharing with regulators and legislators. Further supporting the cause, in 2022 Medi-Share was the first health care sharing ministry to receive accreditation from the independent Healthcare Sharing Accreditation Board.

I encourage you to review our Annual Report for fiscal year 22, as we provide a review of financial results and a discussion of initiatives to give readers some appreciation for Christian Care Ministry’s continued stewardship and facilitation of the Medi-Share program.

"Do not be conformed to this world,  but be transformed by  the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may  discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Romans 12:2

We acknowledge that this is a challenging time for Christians as well as a time of great opportunity as we continue to shine His light in the world of healthcare.  May all that we do be a reflection of our commitment to Christ and His people.

God Bless You.

CEO Scott Reddig

"Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so  that  they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 5:15
