Terms and Conditions for Changing AHP Levels

• AHP resets to $0 with every AHP level or program change.
• For maternity to be eligible for sharing, members must indicate “married” when they join or switch programs.
• Bills will be processed according to the member’s AHP level or program at the time bills were incurred.
• When changing from  the same AHP level to the new program with Annual Physical and Limited Labs, you can do so at any time (unless pregnant).
  • Effective the 1st of the following month, provided the change request is submitted by the 1st of the month.
  • If not submitted by the 1st of the month, the effective date will be the first of the second month following the request
• When changing from a lower AHP to a higher AHP, you can do so at any time (unless pregnant)
  • Effective the 1st of the following month, provided the change request is submitted by the 1st of the month.
  • If not submitted by the 1st of the month, the effective date will be the first of the second month following the request
• When changing from a higher AHP to a lower AHP, you can only change one AHP level at a time and the change (and cannot change if you are pregnant)
  • Effective the 1st of the fourth month following the request.
